Cubicle Workstation
Cubicle Workstations Malaysia | 1 to 10-Person Office Cubicle Clusters
If your team has outgrown open desks but full private offices aren't in the budget, cubicle workstations are the middle ground most Malaysian offices land on — individual desk space with a partition panel around each seat, scalable from a single desk right up to a 10-person cluster. It's the most flexible workstation category we carry, because the cluster size, shape, and panel finish can all be matched independently to your floor plan.
At Cahaya Bintang Store, we supply cubicle workstations in cluster sizes from 1 to 10 people, in L-shape, rectangular, Y-shape, T-shape, and cross-shape layouts, with a full range of partition panel finishes and thicknesses.
Cluster Sizes & Layouts
Our cubicle range covers seven cluster sizes — 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, and 10-person — giving you the widest configuration choice of any workstation category we carry. Layouts include L-shape and rectangular desks for most cluster sizes, plus Y-shape, T-shape, and cross-shape for larger clusters where desks radiate from a shared centre point. Some clusters, such as our 2-person "Executive" configuration, come with a taller high partition for extra individual privacy within the cluster.
Storage is typically paired at the desk level — mobile pedestal (2D1F or 3D configuration) is common across most cluster sizes.
Panel Finishes & Thickness
This is where cubicle workstations differ most from our other workstation lines: partition panels come in full fabric (full board), half-glass, 2-tone, 3-tone, whiteboard, polycarbonate, and solid panel finishes — and in three thickness options: 30mm, 45mm, and 60mm.
Box-to-Box Comparison: Choosing Your Panel Thickness
| 30mm Panel | 45mm Panel | 60mm Panel | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Feel | Lighter, more economical | Balanced mid-tier | Most solid, substantial |
| Sound dampening | Basic | Moderate | Best of the three |
| Typical fit | Budget-conscious, high cluster counts (8-10 person) | Standard department pods | Executive clusters, high-partition configurations |
| Visual weight | Slimmer profile | Standard office look | Most premium appearance |
How to Choose
Start with cluster size based on how many people genuinely sit together as one working group — a single oversized 10-person cluster isn't always better than two separate 4-person clusters if the two halves of the team don't interact daily. Shape matters for room fit: Y-shape and cross-shape clusters use central floor space efficiently for larger groups, while L-shape and rectangular suit narrower rows. On panel thickness, don't default to the thinnest option purely on cost — a 45mm or 60mm panel makes a noticeable difference in a busy, high-headcount floor where multiple conversations happen at once.
What Changes When You Upgrade
Offices moving from mismatched desks to a proper cubicle system usually notice two things immediately: the floor looks organised instead of ad hoc, and each person actually has a defined boundary instead of a shared open surface. It's a practical middle step between fully open desks and full private rooms, and because cluster sizes and panel finishes are independently selectable, it's easy to standardise across a whole floor without over- or under-specifying any one department. Worth measuring your floor plan and headcount per zone before ordering, so cluster sizes match how your teams actually sit.

FAQs
1. What cluster sizes are available?
1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, and 10-person clusters — the widest range across our workstation categories, so you can match cluster size to how your teams actually group together.
2. What shapes can each cluster come in?
L-shape, rectangular, Y-shape, T-shape, and cross-shape, depending on cluster size and available floor layout.
3. What's the difference between the panel thicknesses?
30mm is the lighter, more economical option; 45mm is a balanced mid-tier; 60mm is the most solid and offers the best sound dampening, often used in executive or high-partition configurations.
4. What panel finishes are available?
Full fabric (full board), half-glass, 2-tone, 3-tone, whiteboard, polycarbonate, and solid panel.
5. Is storage included?
Mobile pedestal drawers (2D1F or 3D configuration) are commonly paired at the desk level. Confirm the exact configuration with our team for your chosen cluster.
6. What's the "Executive" configuration I've seen mentioned?
Some 2-person clusters are available with a taller high partition for extra individual privacy — a step up from the standard cluster panel height.
7. How do I decide between a large single cluster or multiple smaller ones?
Base it on which people actually work together day to day. Two 4-person clusters often serve a floor better than one 8-person cluster if the team splits into two sub-groups.
8. Can I mix panel finishes within the same office?
Yes, panel finish is typically selected per cluster, so different departments can use different finishes based on their needs (e.g. whiteboard panels for a brainstorming-heavy team).
9. Can I visit a showroom to see the panels and cluster sizes in person?
If you're in the Johor Bahru area, our appointed showroom partner in Johor Bahru can arrange a viewing. If you're in the Klang Valley, you're welcome to visit our showroom in Kota Damansara.
10. Do you deliver outside Peninsular Malaysia?
Yes — Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan are served through our appointed forwarder, and Singapore is covered by direct delivery.
