What BIFMA Testing Actually Checks

BIFMA X5.1 exists because a chair in a home office and a chair used 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, are two completely different products.

The testing lab puts the chair through repeated drop tests, recline stress cycles, and extreme weight loading on the base and armrests — compressing a couple of years' worth of real-world office abuse into a few weeks.
